Managing photos

Uploading and downloading
  • Photos are saved using the original data without modifications such as cropping, shrinking, or compression when uploaded.
  • Direct photo uploads from the home page displayed after logging in.
  • Image downloads of the original data or by selecting the specified size.
Adding and editing information
  • When uploads finish, new albums are created for the shooting date and the upload date. Place name tags are automatically inserted.
  • Additional uploads and batch tag insertion to existing albums.
  • Rating settings for images.
  • Batch insert tags in multiple photos.
  • Set location information by dragging and dropping photos on a map.
  • Set landmark information. Batch settings are possible by selecting multiple photos.
  • Display photo information, edit file titles and tags.
  • Create albums filled with the desired photos. Album management by boxes.
Organizing by albums and boxes
  • Specify the desired photos and create an album.
  • Unite multiple albums in a box.
  • Move photos between albums by dragging and dropping them.
  • Move albums between boxes by dragging and dropping them.
  • Save the photo sort by settings in the desired order*1.
  • Rotate photos (rotate right, rotate left) and save that rotation 1 data.
  • Sort photos in ascending or descending order by file name, shooting date, upload date, file size, image size, camera model, focal length, shutter speed, aperture value, exposure compensation, lens, flash name, white balance, ISO sensitivity setting, picture control, or rating.
Searching
  • Search for photos on the calendar based on the upload date or the shooting date.
  • Image search by rating information and tag information.
  • Photo search combining multiple conditions such as date, rating, and tags.
  • *1: The desired photo sort by setting can be set and saved as a single pattern for a single album.

Browsing photos

Use from the home page
  • Random image display on the home page.
  • Display newly created albums from the home page and direct links to the albums.
Photo display customization
  • Select four kinds of views (grid view, list view, carousel view, map view).
  • The background color setting can be selected from six patterns. Frame lines, shadows, the row line display, and hidden settings are also possible.
  • When browsing albums, the file name, rating, and status icon can also be shown or hidden.
  • Change the thumbnail size with the slider.
Viewing movies and slideshows
  • Full screen slideshows that play immediately without closing the window and have various pieces of background music and display effects that can be selected.
  • Play Motion Snapshot (NMS), Nikon's original image format.
  • Movie playback by cache generation method. Play movies even as thumbnails. *1
  • Movie playback with QuickTime/Windows Media Player plugin support. *1
Linking to maps
  • Upload GPS log data and use it in map view.
  • In map view, display routes and elevations linked to the GPS log. Display the route as an animation. Display the shooting orientation for photos with electronic compass data.
  • *1: Depending on the movie format, some files may not play.

Sharing photos

Sharing photos and albums
  • Share Motion Snapshot (NMS), Nikon's original image format.
  • Share images by sending the shared album URL to the specified email address.
  • Post photos to blogs and websites by using URLs for external display use and automatically generating HTML code.
  • Share GPS log data.
  • Send photos to Facebook and post URLs to guest pages.
  • Send album URLs to Twitter.
Controlling the appearance when sharing
  • You can select multiple sizes for the data size stored in a shared album, from the original size to shrunk sizes*1.
  • Slideshow playback in shared albums and map view display of photos with location information.
  • Select the shared album design from 21 types of skins. You can also specify map view as the initial view.
  • *1: When the size of the saved photos is small, there may be situations where the size cannot be selected.
